Default Substrate

Are there any brown colored sands available to replicate Lake Tanganyika biotope?

I've got fine aragonite sand that I use in my Reef tanks, but it's not a natural substrate from what I've read.

Caribsea makes a bunch of different colors. If you order it online It usually costs enough for free shipping too. Or you could maybe order it from Petsmart or Petco and just pick it up there when it comes in?
I'm sure there are other brands but Caribsea is the only one that comes to mind right now.

I used to but don't anymore cause the fish dog down and expose it and it looks ugly. I d it my base layer of rock directly on glass (As flat pieces as possible) and pour substrate around it so it doesn't shift when the fish dig.

I haven't used egg crate, but I don't create stacks of rocks, so not much need.
