Default how long established aquarium without fish ?

how long well established aquarium (5 years old) without fish ? If without any fish for 3 weeks and do weekly change...

Heater and filter is running..

I would not bother with water changes as there are no nitrates being created. You have probably had some beneficial bacteria die off but they’ll increase once you restock.

If you add 1-2ppm ammonia every couple of days you can wait as long as you want to restock (you will get nitrates if you do this).
