Default Time Interval to Second Spawn?

Back in February I bought a group of wild caught mpimbwes (2M, 3F). Males now approaches 8 in. Females just under 6 inches. Housed alone in a 135 gallon tank. In early April I had a female spawn and I stripped her at a month and got 7 fry (yeah!). In early May I had another female holding for two days and then eggs gone. It is now approaching the end of July and I am wondering when I might expect the second spawning from these two females (or maybe they have spawned and did not hold and I did not notice)?

For me, it usually ranged between 75 and 90 days (sometimes longer) - most were closer to 85 days.

Same here. Sometimes I'll have females skip a spawn too though which can be confusing and aggravating when you're trying to keep track!

When you say "closer to 85 days" do you mean 85 days after the last spawn or 85 days after the release of fry?

Mine spawn around every 80 to 90 days.

From the last spawning event.

Agree, we're talking between spawns.

It varies a lot, not like a lot of fish that once they start you can expect a pretty solid window for a particular species. I think a lot of people will fall somewhere in a 60-90 day window, but could be longer or shorter or could be more irregular. I've seen people say as low as 45 days, which I think they'd have to be stripping fairly early to get that.

Ime I've had females be regular at 60 days for a while and then not do much for a while.

Well, I guess I can answer my own question now. I have a female holding today (end of July) and I think it is the female that was holding back in early April although the three females are similar so I cannot guarantee it is the same one.
