Thanks! It just took patience and fitting the rock together like a puzzle. Once it gets some algae on it, it looks more natural. One week with about 2-3 water changes should be fine. Also I used a piece of Styrofoam at the bottom while installing to give a straight flush line and avoid siliconing over the tank silicone.

I would look into incorporating filter socks into your sump design. Drip trays are terrible at mech filtration.

No worries mate,

I made mine from a standard 3ft tank but for your tank I'd recommend 4ft and upwards depending on the room you have under there.

O that was the tank for like 2k? The bottom is made with PVC I think the tank was custom mad by deep sea aquatics I knew I saw that tank some where

It came from planet aquarium in dallas.


Looks like 1 1/2 inch?

1 & 3/4"?

After two years, I guess I should update this thread lol.

Got my frontosa from Floridagirl. I got 33 pretty Mikulas from her. I had 3 die early on in the first few weeks, most getting trapped in the small cracks in the background. Since then I've had 30 survive this whole time, including a 250 mile move.

Love this hobby and I'll try and do more than lurk from time to time.
