Great looking surviver, ii think you should let them hold longer, as well, 2 days is far too short, most may not have been fertile, but i am sure these are all pars and parcel you will get it and breed successful eventually, failure is the mother of success.

I have had several spanws with my Kap group from Greg in the last month. And, had another spawn yesterday afternoon which was really nice bcause I has home and had the time to spend a couple hours watching the action.

My goal it to try and get the females to hold for 5 to 7 days. The longer the better in my opinion. Several girls have made it but I have not had any fry yet. I'd love to have the dicipline to let my girls hold full term but I start getting twichy on about day 3.

The observation I'd like to share here is about eggs NOT getting fertilized. I'm no expert here but looking at what happend in my tank yesterday, I don't think this span will have a high fertilization rate. I dont think my Alpha has the experience or patience to get it done properly. Does anyone else have an option on this observation specifically? I kinda expected to see something more convincing on the male making his "contribution".

Anyway, congrats on your spawns! Keep us up to date on your progress.

24 hours and counting. My guess is that she will hold longer than I can. Ha!

Default F1 Kapampa

It's been a lonnnggg time coming! I've had a couple of successful spawns with 1 survivor each but this time around, it looks like I'm going to have 10!!!

I don't think I've seen Kapampa fry being sold in cyphos in quite some time and I'm sure it's because these guys are borderline impossible to breed! Not to mention stressful!

I'm keeping the first two fry that I got from my group from two separate spawns and I will be selling the 10 new ones. PM me if you're interested!
