I picked unsure and i have 2 reasons.
1. My colonies are only young and new.. and
2. They are all real good in their own ways, i almost think that every fish is unique... Do have some favourites though.
Good Poll all the same, good to see what the concensus is.

i think a lot of people will vote moba because they would be the most common out of them, i have moba , kitumba and kapampa and if i had to split kapampa would get my vote

I haven't kept any of the other zaire varieties. I think they are all beautiful. I love my wc mobas. I have kept my wc group since Jan 2005 and have really enjoyed them.

well ive only kept moba so previously they had been my fave but as im now in the market for 2 wc colonies. ive been researching all the zaires. if i had to pick based on looks i think i would go with the kits with the purpleish coloring. the mobas deep blues are truly amazing but seem to be a bit trendy in my eyes to be more appealing to me if that makes any sense. i also am intrigued with the intense color of the mikula, so im left indecisive.
i posted this thread in hopes that it would help me make a decision... its not working as of yet -hah! like you said their all great in their own way.
thanks everyone for participating and i would love to hear more of your thoughts.

Of course i voted Mikula.
Why ?
I got mine a few years back and still have found no reason to get another variant.
The more time goes by the more i love em.....

I've never seen any of these varieties up close and live, but from what I've been seeing in pictures and videos I think I would definately go with the kitumba's. Once I get my burundi tank going, I'm definately gonna look into importing some Zaire Kitumba and Moba fry. Just gotta figure out how to get them here lol. Those blue and purple colorations are simply amazing. They would for sure be a first here in Peru.

Thing is there are only a couple guys who have the licenses to import fish down here, and they have their own shops and breeding grounds, so the Burundi's they have probably like you said, are like F20's. Problem is they're super stubborn and if you ask them to bring you rare fish they take this as an advantage to get a huge profit out of it. So when I asked if they could bring me some fronts they asked for way too much. Though I recently met the owner of a smaller shop and the guy is quite nice, actually wants to promote fish keeping down here so hopefully I can convince him to help me bring down some WC Zaire's and I can probably make a deal with him. Other problem is, finding an exporter that carries these fish and will ship them internationally.
