Default Water Changes?

Just curious as to often you do water changes and how much water do you change out?

I personally used to do about 25% about every 2 weeks. I think this was because I feed my adult colonies every other day so water quality stay better longer.

180g tank with 15 occupants

Monday: 90%
Wednesday: 50%
Friday: 25% (on this day I add aquarium salt)

I've been doing this for almost 2 years and this works for crystal clear water, immaculate substrate and super fast growing fish. *May not work for everyone*

All depends on the tank for me. Kapampa tank once a week and normally 30-35%. Have one that gets more like 60% per week, as currently stocked and filtered. Another tank at 25% every two or three weeks and others in between.

May I ask why I'm the only one that believes in large water changes? I have seen tanks that only get 25% bi-weekly changes and they all have problems with either sick fish, small fish, algae or dirty substrate.
