Default Breaking up the breeding colony?

I now have a WC 2m/8f breeding colony of Mobas.
Now that the male has proven his fertility,
Could I try breaking up the colony into two 1m/4f colonies and housing in a 2nd tank?

I am thinking of doing this bcz I don't know if the beta is too aggressive and the females stressed out and hence other females (that are not as bold as the female that bred twice now) are not breeding.
Or providing more hiding space is enough and distresses the females?. As it is now there is a shortage of pvc pipe cave. There are only 5 caves for 8 females.

Does this stress matter for the females tubing down?
