my staple is krill it's the only way i can keep their belly full. Spirulina flake is my #2 and every now and than I'll throw some Hikari pellets in.

I just picked up some Northfin the other day. Verdict is still out, but they certainly go crazy for it, and there's a lot less cloud after feeding compared to NLS.

I used NLS for over 10 years, I still use it.
But I am supplementing with Northfin over the last year.
It took my frontosas a few days to warm up to it but now they eat it just fine. I will continue with Northfin.

I've been feeding frozen krill and mysis exclusively for the last couple of years. Coloration is great but the growth rate isn't awesome. My question is, should I supplement with some plant based protein, or are they ok with strictly the frozen foods? Basically I'm looking to beef them up a bit and get some more size on them.

Mine seem more lean as well since I switched to a mostly krill diet, they seemed fatter when I fed mostly pellets. Spawning increased quite a bit with the krill based diet though.
