Default Do your other pets mess with your fish?

I have several double and triple stacked tanks in my house and my dang dog won't leave them alone! There are a few bottom tanks full of growing fry and a tank of sumbu comps and she goes nuts over them! She runs into my fish room and all I hear is bing-bing-bang-bing as all my fry are panicking and swimming around banging into the walls and top, splashing water, ect. I have to carry a spray bottle full of water around if I let her in there or else she turns spaz on me! It's funny as hell but annoying at the same time!
Anyone else's pets mess with your tank?

The scourge of the short tanks....with the "I wasn't doin' nothin'!" look.

Wife had her gf over and she bought her dog. The dog proceeded to jump up on the glass with its front legs and bark at the fish. I was not a happy camper when it jump on my acrylic tank.

Sad

No problems with the pets John, but my kids and their friends play floor hockey in the basement where my tanks are. There is constantly kids running around in my basement and foam pucks hitting the tanks. Unfortunately the basement is the only place the kids are allowed to go nuts in the winter months so my fish are stressed out. If I want to enjoy my fish I have to shut the lights of in the basement and sneak in so they don't notice me. As soon as the weather turns I'm kicking these kids outside!!!

My friend's black lab used to do the same thing when they would come over...until he got a swat from a fly swatter across his butt one time when I was crabby! Behaves pretty well at my house now though. lol

They're kinda like pets until they get older though aren't they? They qualify! hahaha

My favorite is when the kids are in the den playing xbox or wii 3 feet in front of my mikula tank....especially when they get the urge to play JUST DANCE!!! Awesome
Even better....I hold Christmas Eve at my house every yr....minimum of 30 people....nothing better than the little kids trying to get the fish's attention by smacking the glass over and over again....MY FAV

The kitty can usually be found with her nose glued to one pane of glass or another, often on the top looking down.

My german shepard likes to sit in front of the tank and put his nose up against the panel and stare at the fish. They reply by doing the exact same, kinda amusing
