Default White spots on Black bars?

I just received some F1 Moba that are about 2". A few of them have some white in their bars. Stress? Poor genetics?

Am I over thinking it?

Thanks

Can you post up a few pics? Difficult to tell without a visual.

And what size tank, and how long have they been in the tank?

I'll try to get pics. Fish have been in the tank since last night and it's a 60 gallon.

it is NOT necessarily mooning. post pics so we can see. as a mater of fact it doesn't sound like mooning. without seeing pics, my guess, assuming you got them from a reputable person and a clean tank, is that the fish are just not settled in yet and their color is maybe light and blotchy due to mood...the most beautiful fronts/gibbs in the world become blotchy and light to dark due to mood

It isn't mooning. The spots disappeared during feeding and they colored up. They came back about 30 minutes later and will fade in and out.

Thanks for all the advice.

Since u just received them, let them settle down and get used to the new environment. It could be just mood swing.

You never want to see any white in the black bars. With high quality fish you want that clean dark barring. I do agree however that you should give them a little time to acclimate.

Unfortunately I got scammed. I was sent a picture of the fish I paid for and got totally different fish sent from a different state.
