Default Best tankmate for breeding colony

Hello everyone i have a breeding colony of Mobas in a pond, and have some daffodils in there. My question is what other tankmate can i add to the group without interfering with the breeding and eating the fry

I used to have comps in with mine but i have removed them since reading on here that they were egg eaters.
I have also noticed that my Fronts are acting a little different ( more friendly and better colouring) now that the comps are gone - not sure if others have experienced this.

Most people say the best tank mates for breeding Frontosa is other Frontosa of the same variant...Obviously Calvus, Compressiceps and other egg stealers will interefere...There was even a local friend who's zaires where breeding like wildfire until they introduced clown loaches to clear up a snail problem...Breeding then came to a screeching halt! I would think that have my them in a pond would make it less of a problem depending on the size...

Thats what I'm afraid of, for i do not strip my fronts i actually do not even know if someone is holding. I just see free swimming fries but I am planning to move them to a bigger pond, but I'm planning to put some tankmate that is friendly to a breeding colony. I used to house them with lelupi but they ate all of them.

Guppies or mosquito fish would be good pond mate. It also provides live food for the fronts if and when they catch it.
I used to have my Mobas in my backyard pond during the summer, but have to get them inside the house when the weather gets cold. How many ponds do you have? Which part of the country do you live? Just curious.

I have yoyo loaches with my Mpimbwe, they don't interfere with breeding what so ever. I used to have a bunch of giant danios but they all got gobbled up.
