Default Introducing New Adult Females...Disrupt Breeding?

I originally started with 2M 10F WC moba in my 180G tank (two FX5s). Over the last couple of years, my alpha male killed the beta male and two of my females died from being eggbound. Now I'm down to 1M 8F.

I don't want to get another male because I'm afraid he'll be killed (alpha is very aggressive). I would like to get a few more females, but I don't want to upset their social hierarchy. I'm afraid that adding more fish would stop breeding for awhile until the hierarchy settled back down. I would just go ahead and do it, but I'm hopefully going to be moving to a bigger house in a year or so, and I hate to get them unsettled, have them start breeding again, and then unsettle them again with the move.

Any thoughts?

If it was me, I would wait and add them when you move. It will be easier for the new ones to be on equal footing when they are all put into a tank at the same time.

Yea, I would keep things as they are right now. 1 and 8 is a pretty good ratio. And that a comfortable about in a 180.
