Default Effect of Rocks on Mpimbwe Color

I have been reading a lot of excellent posts by Razzo as well as others on the effect of the background and rocks will have on the color of the Cyphos. I was a little skeptical at first, but decided to change my "caves" out from White PVC to natural color rocks to see the effect on the color. I must say, I am rather pleased at the effect it has had on the Alpha Mpimbwe.

This photo is from about a month back with the PVC

This is him in the exact same tank with the exact same gravel, just different rocks.

He has much more significant blue showing on him now.

Thank you Razzo for your suggestions.

See your in Athens GA, I was down there Saturday and crawled around a couple of the LFS there.

I am thinking about doing the same thing. I totally forgot to paint the back of the tank before I filled it. Rookie mistake!

Good demonstration of the effect of habitat/surroundings on color.
