My moba never before day 10 if they eat the eggs before this date I just write it off none were fertilised. If still holding I strip and have never lost a fry from this point. I am sure the females pull all the bad eggs and eat them and leave the good. Just my thoughts tho

I tend to agree. Having done everything from day 1 strip to full term holding, overall I think it is better to strip but not before day 7 and preferably day 10-14. fronts will hold for 35+ days. That is a long time for a female to be without food and it must have some effect on their longevity I would think. After day 10, you should have just the good stuff left and survival rates are about 90-100%.

I've tried about all the above. My last was 4 hours after the deed was done with my Mpimbwe. Stripped 25 eggs, with in 2 days, or so lost 5 that turned white. Took 19 free swimming fry a couple days ago after being in the tumbler 25 days. My theory now is...if the male does his job you get fry. If not it doesn't matter when, or what you do, you get no fry. Now that I've done it different ways with pretty much the same results (even to full term) I'm thinking for me will be 5 to 7 days. That seems like less stress then putting the females in a separate tank to spit and then netted again to go back in the tank. JMO on it now.

It really depends on the female and their holding patterns which you learn over time. Good holders...I'll wait 14-21 days...poor holders...I'll strip them as early as day 1. If you strip early, use Methylene Blue in the growout tank to help prevent the spread of fungus...watch them intensely...any egg that turns white...pull it immediately.

I allowed my WC female Front release the frys on her own....failure. I saw the frys go in and out of her mouth, so I thought I will net the frys soon. Well 'soon' was not soon enough. The good news was I was able to save 3 of the frys.
