+1 to that. Jim has way more tanks than I do. This site is loaded with super experienced Cypho keepers who actively participate. A heathy forum, it's a beautiful thing.

Those experienced I know were Razzo and NM during a mishap with my last colony.
But I posted on the forum to get advices of other experts too.

That's what I thought too. If it were me, I'd hand pick through that Moba group. They look good in contrast mode. With a black background and a darker substrate, I think they might even turn on super blue mode sometimes for you.

That's what we look for! If the price is right, go for it!

You have shown us quite a few decent groups over time. I think it is time to give you some advice my daddy gave me long ago.... "Son, poop or get off the pot."

You can do it! Just be impulsive, hand the seller a wad of cash and come home with a nice group to show off to us

Sounds good to me!

Maybe a big male and two much smaller males

I'd also pick the smaller nicer females

I would do that long time back if it was visiting the LFS and picking then up bro. But my local importer need to book his consignment from Germany or Bangkok and then I need to first confirm the purchase and then pictures of individual fish and then approve one after the other and finally it needs to be shipped to my supplier and then he needs to quarantine and then I get it into my tank. After all l this I need to wait for them to settle a bit and then show off.
P.S. Russ the wait is worth I suppose bcz if I had not be patientful i would have ended with a F1 colony with one fish having 7 stripes.

I have a F1 female of the old lot to mix with. She is about 9" . Would she dominate and the male choose her in priority bcz she would be bigger than other females?

Or is it pure probability of the male mating with other smaller females even if there are bigger females around?
