Default Hostile take-over in the Moba tank!

I got back from a fishing trip tonight to find that my moba had a battle and the beta must have whooped some a** because he's in charge as of now!!! I've been expecting this to eventually happen as the beta is much, much larger then the old alpha and there's been hostilities for months....heck, years!
This story has a happy ending though as I now have 2 holding females which I haven't had in many months. The old alpha did great when he was by himself with 4 females in a 125g but spawning slowed to a crawl when I added another trio and put them in a seven ft 210g. I've only gotten 1-2 successful spawns a year for the past 3 years.
Hopefully the new king does a little better job! I have high hopes for the females holding right now, I believe they were conceived by the new alpha. According to my buddy, who has stopped to feed them for me, they've been holding since Saturday night or early sunday morning sometime.

The old alpha didn't get too beat up but you can tell he's no longer the boss...I feel kind of bad for him.

+1 Hail to the new king

Life finds a way. Suspect productivity will improve.

The real question is: what was the big fish on the trip?

I'm really hoping he'll be a good king, that group has been kind of disappointing for quite awhile now but I haven't had the heart to sell the alpha and try another route yet. I've had him for just over 5 years and i'm rather fond of him....now I get to keep him! Cool beans!!!

Nothing but 2-3lb smallies and pike biting on the lake. The turtle my buddy caught was definitely the highlight of the trip. It trashed my $80 landing net but it was well worth it!

I need to buy a go-pro camera!!!

We should start a fishing thread sometime, almost every other forum I've ever visited seems to have one. I don't know why we haven't started one yet. lol
I'm sure there's a ton of fishermen that visit the forum.

John,

I'll start a thread Saturday, unless you start it sooner, when I go smallie fishing. Starting a rouge sticking program of s buddies pond.

When Greg gets back in the saddle and does some site updates, maybe we can talk him into adding a fishing forum? Probably should have a section with a few other hobbies too, like... gear heads for Jim.

BTW: when the site is updated... I have some graphic design skills with Photoshop. If those skills are needed/wanted,... I'd be happy to help. This is my home site.
