Thank you guys for all your inputs. Net is what I have in mind as well, just want to know ih there is other easy, fast and safe is my top priority. No doubt, I'll make sure to rinse them well.

I just changed a 6x2x2 from play sand to tahitian moon sand today, only took me about 15 minutes to get all the sand out with a net. And that was not to rushed either.
When you add the new sand place smaller amounts in the tank at a time, use a smaller container and dont pour out the sand until the container is on the bottom of the tank, this way it will not make a mess of the tank and will settle alot faster |
