Thanks everyone for the comments and the compliments the new additions have settled in and are doing just fine they ate an hour after they we're in the tank.

*IMHO* there's no better way to get Cyphos or really any fish for that matter over stress then to feed them, works wonders!
BTW.. congrats on your Phenos too!!! They're addictive cichlids for sure

very nice kitumba, wish i could get some more kitumba females, but i'm working on getting more mpimbwe females.
anyway, i'd be careful about laying Cyphos or any fish on paper towels or cloth towels.
remember, towels are absorbent, as such they will rip off the slime layer that protects the fish.
That is why i wet my hands with water or prime.
If one wants to put a Cypho on a flat surface use wax paper or plastic wrap/glad bag.
They are water resistant and will not grip to the Cyphos slime layer.
THe slime layer is what protects the fish, don't want to risk pathogens having an easier chance of entry.
