Default 55g drum waterchange

i want to setup a 55g drum filled with water in my garage for water changes. just wondering if the cars fumes from the exhaust will pollute the water?

I add water to my 180g wc moba tank directly from the tap. I add Prime and monitor my water temp every 5-10 minutes. I do a 50% weekly water change.
